It is our pleasure to announce the formation of a new company, The Optoelectronics Company Ltd. The company will specialise in the distribution of innovative optoelectronic devices, initially offering visible/ IR VCSELs and GaAs pin photo diodes from Korean manufacturer Optowell Co., Ltd.

With a proven track record in the photonics industry, having taken their previous venture from a start-up to a company with annual sales in excess of ?5m and twice awarded the Queen's Awards for Enterprise, the former founders of Photonic Products Ltd, (now Prophotonix), look forward to achieving similar success with The Optoelectronics Company Ltd.

"This is a very exciting new venture for Damon Cookman and me. Current global economic conditions will ensure the first 12-18 months will be very challenging but we are confident that there remains a strong market for innovative optoelectronic products." stated Managing Director, Tony Pope.

The company headquarters are in Henham, Hertfordshire, UK, from where it will distribute products worldwide.
